Yesterday we went to Columbia to
officially meet baby Abby. We didn't get a chance to hold her in the hospital. Hard to believe she is three weeks old already! While she napped in her swing we chilled out with TEM and GE, watching TV and snacking on some yummy sausage dip. I could tell TEM was tired so we didn't stay too terribly late. On our way back to Greenville we hit a monsoon! In a few places it was nearly a complete whiteout on the interstate. We were very grateful to get home without incident.

Today D and I made our third trip to Raven Cliff falls. On our way to the overlook we found the entrance to The Dismal Trail, which nearly killed us
last year. We just kept on walking. No siree, not going that way. The falls were nice and full and loud. We were too far away for a really good picture, but this was our starter hike of the season so we didn't want to overdo.

We had a picnic courtesy of Subway. The manager was so nice to us. When we said we were going hiking he offered to give us a packet of mayonnaise instead of putting it on the sandwich then. The canteens were sweating like crazy, it was very humid.

On the way back it started to rain on us and fog enveloped the mountain. It was so beautiful and magical. D said it was like being in the Misty Mountains or something. It was so pretty.
