D and I have flirted with the idea of going to Edisto Island several times in the past few years. Edisto fills up quickly, though, and it's never worked out for us. So this year we decided to strike early and we were able to make a reservation! Even though it's our anniversary trip, we decided to go a little later so that we could take advantage of Labor Day. It's eight months away but we are already excited. Of course, it's easy to be excited about the beach when it's threatening to snow outside.
Today D and I left work early so that the Kenmore repairman could have a look at our dryer. The poor thing has made four moves with us and is at least a dozen years old. It wouldn't run yesterday and we didn't know if it could be fixed or not. Turns out it's just our knob. The part is on order. In the meantime, he showed D how to use pliers on it, so we're back in business.
